This is probably a bit more complex, but utilizes current scanning ocr technology.
Consider: A user picks up a flyer that has an event 'title' along with date, time, location/address, contact name, and phone or email address.
The flyer is scanned and the software automatically recognizes:
Name/title of event; date; time; cost/price if ...
