Undoubtedly in the days, months and years ahead I will need to recalibrate and certainly clean again. The calibration sheets likely have some lifespan to them. However the wipes will likely be worthless within hours of their use since they are alcohol based. Where can additional sheets be purchased?

There will not be an additional update released (besides 2.8 for the 2.x version).
If you have not done so already, I would suggest cleaning your scanner. Dust or particles on your scanner lens can cause cropping issues. You can use the cleaning paper that was included in the box, drop some rubbing alcohol on it ...
