This post should be marked permanent or something along those lines. It took me an hour or so to find it again and it solves some of the issues with Quicken NeatReciepts exporting with split transactions.

The split transaction feature is the way to do it. Once split you can re-categorize the transaction as cash or whatever. Works great with stores like Walmart and Target where you might you might have Groceries, Clothing and Cash. Will NeatWorks4.0 better support Quicken? Specifically will it be able to handle split transactions. I find now if I use split transactions with the old NeatReceipts 3.0 sp1 the exported split transactions come up as two completely separate transactions. If I use the old excel script that one of the users on here it works perfectly. I would ...

For some time now when I click on the "NEAT Receipts & Quicken" forum I get the following error
Oops! There are either no posts or due to a filter there are no posts to display.

It been over 2 weeks and the file still can't be downloaded on http://neatreceipts.com/forum/forums/thread/1203.aspx. Did you get a response back from Jenn?

Thanks for the post. But I am curious. HOW do I format the file as .qif? the version of Neatrecepts allos export a CSV but not as a qif file format. What kluge or workaround did you find or create?

Will the new version 3.0 allow you to export into quicken 2005 or latter without having to do the "work around" (making a separate Inbox folder, etc.)?

So, it sounds like if I want to use this with Quicken I should wait a while for them to catch up with each other and play nice with each other?? I guess it would be waaaaaay down the road before these scanners work with Quicken Medical Manager? That's a big disappointment.......

I just received Neat Receipts as a gift. One of the features that really caught my eye on the box was import into Quicken. Now that I've installed it, I find that the support is less than ideal. I've read through the posts on the workarounds with Quicken, and it looks a bit cumbersome to say the least.

If you'd like to use NEAT Receipts with Quicken, we recommend creating folders that correspond to your accounts in Quicken. This helps you keep receipts grouped together for ease of exporting. You'll also want to make sure that you use the same category and subcategory values in NEAT Receipts that you use in Quicken. ...
