    excel_grad,
I'm very glad that you have found a solution for your needs.  We have heard your requests for 64-bit support and we will support it as soon as we can.  If you have any new requests, please feel free to post here.  Otherwise, best of luck.

    Sincerely,
    Jenn

It might be worth mentioning that I currently use, with no problems whatsoever, the 64-bit Plustek M12 driver with my NeatReceipts scanner. I had to give up the NeatReceipts software for the nonce, but it scans fine into PaperPort. This still allows me to scan receipts while on the road and upload to my expense system. I miss the function of the software, but life goes on... Confused

After some research the Neet Receipts Scanner is the same scanner as the Plustek M12 series. And their software dose support 64 bit OS. If you are looking for another option that is portable this would be a good choice then if Neet Receipts ever comes out with software to support 64 bit OS you can upgrade to their software at that time.I do agree that Neet Receipt should just remove the line in the program that stops it from loading and a issue disclaimer to use on 64 bit systems at your own risk.

Let me make sure I understand. It will not operate with vista in 64 bit install, but it would operate in vista in 32 bit install? Yes or No?

    bmoore,
Yes, that is correct.  NeatReceipts is compatible with 32-bit, but not 64-bit at this time.

    Sincerely,
    Jenn

Perhaps you can let us know who the 3rd party is! As Quicken use to require Windows Administrator access to use many functions (Big security risk to say the least). A Blog was started to let them/SEC/Banks etc.. that this was an unacceptable problem.  Prior to that they ignored user requests.

     --------------------------------------

    Rafi,

VP of Development, VP Marketing or whom ever really makes customer requests happen.  Please get with the IT/Business productivity program.  Software Applications on 64 bit OS and 64Bit Chips are not a new thing, and the market is way beyond small % suggested by NR reps in your threads to date.

I also notice that Plustek site is useless (Only shows Adobe Flash header) to anyone running standard settings on IE7 using Vista or SVR2008. Is your problem perhaps the API-Program-Interface with thier scanner, or just NR programmers not abel to write code to newer .NET/64Bit coding standards?

Regardless, to survive and to have Business-MBA & Techie types like myself recommend & use your product you have to work to be ahead of the curve not behind the curve.  Therefore, get a few Microsoft, HP, DELL User groups to test, give away, and use your product at clients (SBM)after making sure it works with 64Bit. This should ideally be for all users on 3.x and is a MUST for those getting the new 4.x producxt you just announced.  A few other items if not already in 4.x specs is better DB data splitting, merging, backup abilities; and a way to bring in old CardScan files into system. (I have over 2000+ old contacts I can't import without extensive work)
