I get the following error during the "Core Files" part of the install:

 An error occurred during the installation of assembly'Microsoft.VC80.CRT ,publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="8.0.50727.762",processorArchitecture="x86".Please refer to Help and Support for more information.

When I click OK, it seems to back out of the installation.  It then gives this error:

Windows cannot find 'C:\PROGRA~1\NEATRE~1\exec\ScannerSetupWizard.exe'. Make sure you
typed the name correctly, and then try again.

Then I click OK, and this error:

Could not execute the external program
C:\PROGRA~1\NEATRE~1\exec\ScannerSetupWizard.exe.

Has anyone seen this behavior?  Any suggestions?

I have a similar problem getting the program to use the scanner.

Try this, at a command prompt navigate to, execute the ScannerSetupWizard.exe

It will give you the list of arguments- it's a short list only four.

Hi i have a similar problem,

I am using Windows XP though service pack 2.

I try to search for ScannerSetupWizard.exe and it cannot find it. Any luck with this?  What's weird is that during the installation,it had problems on creating the Neat Receipts directory hence it forced to cancel the installation, but then a window pops up saying i have successfullly installed the program.

Then afterwards an error pops up saying that it cannot find "C:\Program~1\Neatre~1\exec\ScannerSetupWizard.exe"

 Any luck with this?

Hi,

You probably aborted the core files install, which sets up most of the application files.

Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\NeatReceipts\Setup and double-click on NeatReceipts Core Files.msi.  Make sure your scanner is unplugged when you do this.

Re-running the core files package will repopulate the exec directory and let you open the application.
