I just bought Neat Receipts from Office Depot. It is the windows version, but I downloaded the mac software (10.5.3 osx is my OS) and installed it, and hooked up the scanner to the usb. The software runs fine, the scanner scans, but every scan is just gray lines. i have tried multiple receipts, multiple documents, color, black and white, face down ...

I would like to see: 1) The ability to display and sort on date scanned.  I scan a lot of receipts, then go in and "clean" up the data.  I like the ability to look at "date scanned" to find receipts.  I'm never gonna find that receipt from 6/3/08 that gets scanned as 6/3/03.  2) A column for entry type ...

It would be very nice to be allowed to install the software on both my laptop and desktop machines. Is there a way to change the default e-mail program NR uses to e-mail PDFs? I notice that it opens Apple's Mail program, but I never use that. All my contacts are updated and kept current in Entourage (synced with my Treo). So it would be helpful if I could tell NeatReceipts to use Entourage instead of Mail.  

When or how often should you re-calibrate the scanner? The on-line help says, "It's sometimes necessary to calibrate your scanner so that it scans with peak accuracy." How do you know when you get to one of those "sometimes?"

Are you accessing the inspector, cropping the image and then trying to save before the app has finished "processing image, analyzing... etc.  Because I think that may be the problem.  I believe the file is not fully saved to disk until its completely done with collecting all the data and analyzing it.  I have the same problem ...
